Why is it so hard to chase our dreams and have fun?
We are very conditioned. You included. Meaning much like how our body can get used to the cold or used to bearing a certain weight after going to the gym consistently… our mind gets conditioned to the environment that is imposed on it.
In the most crucial years of our life where a little freedom, experimentation, and individuality could be granted, influences like our parents, teachers, and friends start molding our mind and tendencies before we even have a chance to shape ourselves.
This makes it increasingly hard to go after what our deepest desires for fulfillment are. This makes it difficult to act on our inner callings for greatness. Due to the fact for years we were told how to act and how to think… our visions gets pushed to the side and drowned out by fear, anxiety, and doubt. Our talents and skills in this phase aren’t being used to it’s full capacity either.
What does avoiding our inner calling result in?
We all have superpowers. Each and everyone of us. We may think of our talents and skills as lame or unimportant at times. When you think about it though, some people out there would die for the tools you have at your disposal. Even if those out there would have the skills you have, your talent may put you already 3 times better then them without having done anything. There is something super about this! This is life’s gift to you and if you exploit it, a whole new world, social network, and fun career can await you.
When you stay in the same old routine passed on down to you by the world with little of your input, you stifle the majestic talents you have that can be amplified to change your life and the world around you in amazing ways all while making a living.
How did Reggie find his inner calling, superpowers, while building a career around it?
So it all started when Reggie finally found his path in the telecommunication space. After truly feeling like he found his niche he really did think that he would be in the same space for the foreseeable future.
However after being unemployed for the first time in his life around that time… he had an opportunity to ask himself the most important questions like “What matters to me? What are my skills/talents (superpowers)? How can I make this a career/passion?”.
The cool thing was once Reggie discovered his superpowers, vision, and found his own personal fingerprint, he realized that he had to create a image (or personal brand) around his talents and vision so he can tell his story to attract the people and business he wanted in his life.
Today Reggie freely shares a lot of what got him up and running today.
Below are Reggie’s tips from our 8th episode all about how to discover your superpowers, vision, & personal brand:
1) Use pain, negativity, and catastrophe to find yourself by self-reflecting- When the you know what hits the fan, it is a great time to reflect and see how we can be living our life a little differently. Primarily because we will be forced to re-evaluate our situation.
We can ask ourselves “What are my talents? What am I good at? What am I passionate about that these skills/talents can help me with? Who do I know in my network that can help me?”
Whether we choose to use these rough times to grow in a different direction or stay the same is up to us.
2) Do the work. Take action. Take time to self explore – This one does not need much more explaining. Just get to it. Create a journal. Do a little meditation. Counsel with a best friend. Start on the path regardless of how.
3) Try using Reggie’s “Time Matrix” quadrant – If you want to find your superpowers and talents and see how you can employ them one day for a greater future, create the below chart. Fill it in… It’s that simple!
Divide a larger square into 4 tiny squares using a pen and piece of paper. In the top left put the things you don’t want in your life. In the top right put the things you do want in your life. In the bottom left put your talents and gifts (or as we like to call them superpowers).
In the bottom right put where you want to be in this time next year.
This will help you get going into finding your true gifts and a vision for the future.
4) Ask yourself some questions around your talents to help you find your superpowers – Ask yourself… what do I know I am talented at? What am I really good at? What are somethings I have learned that I pick up really quick? What in my heart of hearts do I know I am the best at?
5) When you find your talents and vision, share YOUR journey around self-discovery and growth on social media – By doing this not only do you get to connect with like-minded people but you become the light house for ships full of people looking to reach someone authentic they can relate too!
For example…
– Share stories about your past/present life away from using your superpowers and talents to create an emotional connection to who you are as a person for your audience.
– Capture the process around how you execute your craft. Maybe you get into the life behind the scenes that got you there.
– Talk about your days today, and what gets you in the zone. Talk about the things you do to execute properly.
– How do you build resilience and strength in the face of adversity.
You are a dynamic person, DONT HORD YOUR STORIES. YOUR LIFE IS ONE BIG STORY. YOU ARE DYNAMIC AND COMPLEX and within it… those mini stories are valuable to the world. The more people that can connect to your story, the more likely they can also see the value of your services when the time comes!
7) Simplify your content to Amplify it -Now let’s touch on packaging. HOW WILL we PACKAGE our content? SIMPLIFY it TO AMPLIFY it. Start thinking what is the simplest way to capture your story? Rather then spending a lot of work on the back end, make story capture can be easy (i.e. 1 to 2 minute video or post with a few tiny paragraphs and images).
Once your following grows you can invest more energy into the quality of your content.
8) When delivering content to the world… choose one or a few social media platforms to start (like your favorite one) – Focus on a few platforms or 1 at first to get some momentum and not feel overwhelmed.
Why not even start on the ones you enjoy? And eventually you can branch outward! It will feel more fun and natural quicker when you start on a platform you like.
9) REMEBER, be authentic and tune out judgement – At the end of the day your story won’t be for everyone. Not everyone will resonate with your story. BUT someone out there will.
Try to focus on being you in all your glory even if some people may think your weird for it. You may change someone’s life forever because they connected with a story from your life that spoke to them personally and vividly.
***Combine these tips together – when you pair some or all of these together your benefits compound***

The Super Power and Finger Print Finder
When Reggie was the most stuck in the mud in his life… he didn’t realize it. He thought because he had a plan for himself and a career all laid out that he had a nice future laid out. However, after becoming unemployed, something that seemed like a great path kinda seemed like a nightmare but this was the greatest gift of all.
Being stranded without work and his initial dreams smashed, he decided that he may as well start from ground zero and develop a new life by finding out what his superpowers are and his new desired future.
This path also got Reggie into discovering his own unique personal brand (or as he and Steve Harvey likes to call it his fingerprint) so he can share his vision and services with the world.
